Offshore Energy 2011 Exhibition & Conference Great Business in Amsterdam

Navingo BV, organizer of Offshore Energy 2011, looks back at a very successful edition of Offshore Energy in the Amsterdam RAI. 5121 unique visitors1 (compared to 4026 in 2010) with over 30 nationalities from all over the world, like Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, Italy, the United States, China, Australia, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Venezuela, the United Arab Emirates and Ghana have found their way to the business-to-business exhibition that focuses on the (inter-)national offshore oil, gas and wind industry and related products and services. 292 companies (compared to 231 last year) displayed their products and services during this exhibition.

The number of visitors grew with over 21% compared to the last edition in 2010. This year for the first time the exhibition consisted of two days. 2991 Visitors attended during the first day of the exibition. During the exhibition, conference and side events business relations were forged, networking drinks took place and several contracts were signed on the over 8000 sq. m. floor space. Especially the quality of the visitors was excellent this year.

Offshore professionals Offshore Energy 2011 offered an extensive conference program which brought together over 319 offshore professionals who networked, forged new relations and discussed the topics of 50 expert speakers. The speaker faculty represented the entire offshore energy supply chain. The conferences, topical sessions and side events covered a broad range of issues including global energy demand and supply, drivers for investments, developments in deepwater, innovations to extend the lifetime of North Sea plays and developments in renewable offshore energy (a.o. tidal energy). Because the three conferences each consisted of a half-day program and the short topical sessions took about 1,5 hours each, conference attendance was easily combined with a visit to the exhibition.

Organizer Navingo BV looks back at a very successful event: “From exhibitors as well as visitors we have received positive feedback“, reports Annemieke den Otter, Offshore Energy Exhibition Manager. Many exhibitors and visitors mentioned the spacious set-up and professional atmosphere of the exhibition in the Amsterdam RAI as key success factors of this fourth edition. The move to Amsterdam definitely contributed to this, I have heard rumors of companies that weren’t present as exhibitors this year but are very interested to exhibit next year.” Moreover, visitors were satisfied with the broad range of companies present and exhibitors praised the variety and purposefulness of the visitors. Offshore Energy is a yearly recurring event which will take place in 2012 on 23 & 24 October in the same hall as this year.
