Forewind Announces First Consultation Events to Present Dogger Bank Development

Forewind, development partner for the Dogger Bank Zone, potentially the world’s largest wind energy project, announces its first community consultation events to present proposals for its first development: Dogger Bank Creyke Beck.

Dogger Bank Creyke Beck is planned to connect into the national grid at an existing substation at Creyke Beck, near Cottingham in the East Riding of Yorkshire, and consultation events will be held at locations along or near the proposed onshore cable route.

The development will comprise up to two offshore wind farms each with a generating capacity of up to 1.4 Gigawatts located 125 kilometres off the coast of Yorkshire, onshore and offshore export cables, onshore converter stations and other associated infrastructure.

This series of events is the first in relation to Dogger Bank Creyke Beck but builds on earlier workshops organised by Forewind to inform stakeholders about the overall zone development.

The local community is encouraged to attend one of the five consultation events to view the proposals, speak to members of the Forewind team and submit feedback. The events are:
