Gamesa Gives Up Dundee Business

The Spanish Company Gamesa is giving up its UK offshore business in Dundee. It is no longer an option for the Company, because it can’t acommodate Gamesa’s requirements .

The Company is now evaluating Leith in Scotland and looks at Hartlepool in England.

Leith is considered as an alternative for Dundee. Through its offshore business in the UK, Gamesa will provide about 1000 direct jobs, and further 800 indirect jobs.
