PSA Carries Out Audit of Ekofisk 2/4-L

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA), with assistance from the Civil Aviation Authority, carried out an audit of Ekofisk 2/4-L on 4 – 5 April 2013.

 Objective

The objective of the audit was to verify that Ekofisk 2/4-L was built in accordance with regulatory requirements within the preparedness discipline, including helicopter operations/helicopter deck.

Result

One nonconformity was identified in relation to the helicopter approach and departure sector

Furthermore, improvement items were identified in connection with:

• signposting and labelling of escape routes

• life jackets

• rescuing personnel from locked cabins

• MOB boat handling
