CT Offshore is currently working on the West of Duddon Sands Offshore Wind Farm in the Irish Sea.

A total of 108 cables are to be laid, and by 25 August CT Offshore was halfway through the project with laying and installation of 54 cables.

“It is a very important project to us and I’m impressed with the energy and professional approach the company and the team involved in this project have shown from the beginning”, Frank Hansen says and emphasizes “The record so far is 2½ cables installed in one day, which is a fantastic result”.

“An incredibly dedication and willingness to succeed, shown by each and every colleague on board this project is the main reason for this success”, comments one of the Masters at the company’s cable laying vessel CLV SIA. “Challenges arise during such a large project. However, through our well experienced cable and project team, supported by the terrific cooperation with DONG, we are able to keep one step ahead all the time and find a prompt and best fit solution for all parties”, he continues.

Asking DONG Energy, the employer for this project, the Installation Manager Lars Bruun comments as follows, “During the still on-going array cable installation work, we have had a very good corporation with CT Offshore. Our WoDS project team is very content with CT Offshore´s cable installation performance to date. They have been proactive, shown initiative and professionalism in their performance which is reflected in the quality of the cable installation work up to now.

CLV SIA was re-designed in-house and purpose built for the West of Duddon Sands project. Having operated on the project since beginning June the result is outstanding.
