Job Description:

As a Junior Purchaser – Fleet support, you will be responsible for the procurement process, maintenance, and spare parts catalogues in our PMS MARAD, and you will assist the QA and technical department when requested. You will work closely with various internal teams, namely technical and QA, and suppliers to ensure that all materials and services are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be involved in technical procurement and delivery and will assess the quality of purchased products if needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate on possible procurement solutions and parts with the ships
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing and terms
  • Oversee procurement processes to ensure materials are delivered on time
  • Collaborate with the technical team to determine procurement requirements and establish priorities
  • Support and participate in QA tasks when visiting ships
