What You Will Do:

To monitor and provide guidance/information for managing the operations, including insurance matters, casualty management, security related matters, cargo cautionaries, checking and ensuring that data/records are properly maintained and updated on relevant platforms etc., across assigned dry bulk vessels

-Routine communications with vessels

Cargo Guidance, Navigation guidance, Monitor sending of Cautionary Notices, etc.

-Routine communication with clients

Providing information/advice, arranging third party surveys/inspections etc.

-Vessel’s insurance and trading certificate handling

-P&I Crew Claims Handling

Notification, managing operational aspects of the occurrence/accident/casualty, and follow-up with various parties as required.

-P&I Cargo and Miscellaneous Claims, H&M, FD&D Claims Handling

Notification, participating in contingency planning and the emergency response teams, managing operational aspects of the occurrence/accident/casualty, charter party or other commercial and miscellaneous disputes/claims and follow-up with various parties as required.

-Voyage Monitoring

Monitoring the voyage progress and operations performance of the vessels, ensuring charter party, freight contract, obligations etc., are fulfilled.

-Vessel vetting.

Monitor the vetting status of vessels on applicable/relevant platforms, and to close out any matters adversely affecting the vessel’s vetting status.

Security matters

Inform/guide/monitor the vessel’s transit of the HRA and ensure that the required security measures are followed/implemented.

Agency Appointment

Verify that port agency disbursements have been properly vetted.

What We're Looking For:

  • Master Mariner with a) minimum (2) years sea-going experience in the rank of Chief Officer, plus minimum (1) years’ experience as Master in command on dry vessels and b) minimum (2-3) years shore-based experience or commensurate attributes.
  • Background in shipping studies or relevant experience or knowledge will be an advantage.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Sound PC knowledge, especially with MS Office
