Job description:
As an Offshore Operator at Barge Master, you will play a key role in the reliable and safe deployment of our motion compensation systems, such as the T700 platform. This is a hands-on, versatile role where you’ll work in offshore environments and be responsible for operating, maintaining, and servicing our systems:
This position is a temporary assignment for a period of 6 months , with the possibility of an additional 6-month extension based on project process. It is ideal for young, technically-minded professionals who have recently completed a MBO or HBO technical degree and are eager to apply their knowledge in a challenging and rewarding offshore setting
Operation:
- Act as the first point of contact on board.
- Communicate with client operation management and crane operators.
- Execute start-up inspections, control the equipment, monitor equipment status, and carry out shut-down procedures.
- Perform emergency procedures when required.
- Ensure the safe and reliable operation of Barge Master systems.
- Maintenance:
- Conduct general inspections, lubrication, painting, torquing, and filter cleaning/replacements.
- Keep the equipment clean and in optimal condition.
- Service:
- Perform general repairs and recommissioning tasks as needed.
- Back Office Coordination:
- Provide regular updates on equipment status through daily/weekly reporting.
- Manage spare parts and consumables orders.
- Your profile:
We’re looking for candidates with a proactive attitude and a passion for technical problem-solving. You should be ready to work abroad in offshore environments for extended periods and bring a flexible mindset to the role. A completed MBO/HBO education. Preference for a technical backgroun
- General technical knowledge in hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanics.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schemes.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, even under pressure.
- Resilience and the ability to perform well in demanding offshore environments.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office.

- HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training)
- GWO (Global Wind Organization Safety Training)
- OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) training.
