The role

As the interim Workspace & TAM (Technical Application Management) Specialist you ensure the smooth functioning of workspaces and technical applications. You also support the needs of different departments and contributes to the seamless execution of Damen Naval’s operations. You would be working as a member of the Workspace & TAM team within Damen Naval its IT staff department.

Key accountabilities

As an interim Workspace & TAM Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the proper functioning of computers, laptops, and other hardware components within the workspace, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting any issues.
• Managing network connectivity for employees, peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and other office equipment, and user access to applications and workspaces.
• Facilitating the deployment of workspace applications used in operations, monitoring and managing the application lifecycle, and providing technical support for specialized applications.
• Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect sensitive data, supporting and maintaining collaboration tools, and creating and updating documentation related to workspace and technical application management processes.
• Implementing monitoring tools to track the performance of workspaces and applications, generating regular reports on the status of workspaces and applications, and using these reports to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Skills & experience

As an interim Workspace & TAM Specialist, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

• 5+ years of relevant experience as an IT workspace and applications Specialist, preferably in maritime and/or defense related industry.
• Bachelor degree (Hbo) or vocational education (Mbo) in the field of IT.
• Proven problem-analysis capabilities along with plotting successful mitigating actions.
• Good command of the Dutch and English language (written & verbal).
• Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.

• An attractive rate, ensuring at least equal pay to permanent staff.
• Travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometre.
