The role
As an Assistant Project Manager at C&MC, you will play a vital role in supporting, assisting and contributing to the management of various projects within our department. Projects such as building shipyards in Africa. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to our quality standards.
Key accountabilities
- Assisting in the development and management of project plans, timelines, and budgets;
- Collaborating and facilitating communication with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, production, and quality control;
- Contributing to risk assessments and participating in the development of contingency plans;
- Identifying and assisting in addressing project risks and issues;
- Supporting the timely completion of projects within budget and in accordance with quality standards;
- Providing updates on project progress and status to stakeholders;
- Some travelling to visit project locations. Mostly Africa.
Skills & experience
- Proactive, hands-on and energetic personality.
- At least 3 years of experience in a project management capacity, demonstrating involvement in managing projects successfully;
- Experience in the Civil industry;
- Solid project management skills, enabling you to support cross-functional teams and handle multiple projects concurrently;
- Proficiency with project management software;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to engage with stakeholders at various levels;
- A strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
