THE ROLE
As the Proces Innovation Architect at Damen Naval , you will spearhead the technological evolution of processes in the shipbuilding value chain. You will implement innovation strategies to leverage emerging technologies in the field of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering and Industry 4.0. You will collaborate with internal specialists and oversee projects to integrate these innovative solutions into process development while mitigating risks.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Developing a comprehensive innovation strategy to leverage emerging technologies, including key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact.
Driving the implementation of the innovation strategy by creating roadmap(s) with clear goals/timelines for innovation initiatives.
Managing budgets resources, and adherence to timelines for each project.Acting as a first-line technical contributor to the process development team, providing direct technical expertise and insights.
Developing integration plans for a seamless incorporation of innovative technologies into existing systems and practices.
Championing the adoption of new technologies in the design process and practices by providing guidance to the engineering teams.
Leading and overseeing research and development projects (prototyping, pilots, mvp's) to validate innovative solutions.
Fosters a culture of innovation by organizing workshops, brainstorms, and knowledge-sharing events.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
10+ years of experience leading and/or contributing to research, development and innovation projects, preferably in the naval or maritime engineering domain.
Bachelor's or Masters degree in a relevant specialization.
Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
