Island Offshore Names Two Well Stimulation Vessels in Brevik

On Saturday the 29th. of October, Island Centurion and Island Captain were named at the yard in Brevik. Godmothers for the vessels was Mrs. Gro Helland and Mrs. Tonje Tiley both from ConocoPhillips.

The Island Centurion was delivered to Island Offshore the day before and Island Captain will be handed over in February 2012. These vessels are number 5 and 6 in the series of UT 776 CD that Island Offshore have built at STX OSV Brevik and we have another 3 vessels still to be delivered in 2012 and 2013.

Island Offshore have been awarded a 7 year firm with 4 yearly option contract for both vessels by Schlumberger as Well Stimulation vessels starting in August 2013. Conversion of the vessels will start in November 2012. We are extremely happy with this award which is a result of our focus towards specialized segments. Island Patriot and Island Commander are currently employed as Well Stimulation vessels.
