The Marketing department is based in Gorinchem and is established for the entire Damen Shipyards Group and all its divisions and endorsed brands. Within the Marketing department, a dedicated team is responsible for the digital awareness and interaction with our (potential) customers. This team wants to generate the most qualified leads for sales. In order to achieve this mission we're having channel specialists on board who are setting up the most effective digital campaigns in order to be as much personal and relevant as possible.

The role: 
We are looking for a skilled and results-driven Social Media Advertising Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. In this role, you will take the lead in developing and executing a paid social media advertising strategy, ensuring our campaigns drive brand awareness and lead generation.

With a 70/30 focus on paid advertising versus organic content, you will collaborate with the marketing team to optimize ad creatives, targeting, and budgets across platforms like Meta and LinkedIn. While organic content plays a supporting role in engagement and brand presence, your primary responsibility will be maximizing ROI from paid campaigns through continuous testing, audience insights, and performance analysis.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop and execute paid social media strategies to meet business goals;
• Optimize ad targeting, creative, and budgets for maximum performance;
• Analyze and report on campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments;
• Define and execute the most important social media KPIs;
• Manage, execute, optimize and oversee social media content;
• Engage and interact with our strong community;
• Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies;
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Product Development teams to improve content, data and campaigns;

Skills & Experience:

• This job is best suited to an individual with at least 3 years of experience working as a social media advertising specialist (at least some experience with advertising on LinkedIn);
• Keen interest in social trends and B2B marketing;
• Understanding of business managers and relevant social media kpi’s;
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch (you will work in an international team);
• Preference for a Dutch-speaking candidate due to the need to conduct persuasive discussions with stakeholders;
• BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field;
• Works well under pressure;
